Baadshah Kichcha Sudeepa's 3D Fantasy Adventure 'Vikrant Rona' To Release Pan-India On July 28

‘Pan-Indian films’, a term which was a rarity up until a few years ago, has become the norm today. Being a cinema nerd, I can’t help but feel proud about this development as it has made me familiar with the amazing content that our country has to offer. The revolution majorly started because of Baahubali, and the recent success of RRR prove why this has become the go-to formula for filmmakers today. This year, we have dozens of pan-Indian films in the pipeline and Baadshah Kichcha Sudeepa’s Vikrant Rona is one of them. Today, the teaser of it was unveiled along with it’s new release date announcement and I have been bowled over by it.

Check out the teaser here:

The teaser of the film has been launched by superstars from different industries, including Salman Khan, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal and Simbu in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil respectively. Vikrant Rona is a 3D fantasy action adventure of epic proportions and its teaser shows four kids talking about a ‘devil’ that exists in their grandmother’s stories. The gory and intense environment and the sea during the pitch black of the night just sent shivers down my spine, increasing my excitement for the film. The film sees Sudeepa in the titular role of the Lord of the Dark, who strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies.

Apart from Sudeepa, Vikrant Rona also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok. It is presented by Zee Studios, produced by Jack Manjunath, co-produced by Alankar Pandian and directed by Anup Bhandari. It will release nationwide on July 28, 2022 in 3D across five languages, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

Seeing the lines blurring between languages and industries just fills me with so much excitement as collaborations give rise to creativity, which means I get to see and experience new and creative content a lot as an audience. The teaser of Vikrant Rona has created a perfect spooky environment and now I await to dive right into it as the film releases in July.
